What is The Wandering Book Bus?

The Wandering Book Bus is a mobile independent bookstore based in Southern California. We travel to pop-up events, markets, and festivals while also offering online shopping for readers across the U.S.

Where are you located?

Our bookstore is on wheels! While we’re often on the road, we also have select shopping hours at our Lake Elsinore location throughout the year. Check our Events page or social media for our current schedule.

Do you have a physical storefront?

Not at this time. We currently operate from our mobile bookstore and our online shop.

Orders & Shipping

When will my order ship?

In-stock orders typically ship within 2–5 business days.

During large sales, holidays, or special events, processing times may be slightly longer. We appreciate your patience!

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! International shipping rates are calculated at checkout. Please note that customers are responsible for any customs fees, duties, or taxes required by their country.

How can I track my order?

Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information.

My package says delivered, but I can’t find it.

Please check with neighbors, family members, your mailbox, and your local post office before contacting us. Once a package has been marked as delivered by the shipping carrier, we unfortunately cannot guarantee its location, but we’re happy to help point you in the right direction.

Can I cancel my order?

Regular (non-preorder) orders may be canceled at any time before they ship. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled.

Preorders

What is a preorder?

A preorder allows you to reserve a book before its official release date. Your book will ship once it has been released and arrives at our store.

When will my preorder ship?

Preorders ship as soon as we receive inventory from the publisher. While we do everything we can to ship quickly, release dates and publisher shipments are occasionally delayed.

I ordered both preorder and in-stock items. When will my order ship?

Orders containing both preorder and in-stock items will ship together once the preorder is available.

If you’d like your in-stock items sooner, please place a separate order.

I ordered multiple preorder books with different release dates.

Orders containing multiple preorder titles will ship once all preorder books in the order have been released and are available.

Can I cancel my preorder?

Preorder cancellations must be requested more than 21 days before the book’s scheduled release date.

Within 21 days of the release date, preorder cancellations cannot be accepted, as inventory has already been reserved and ordered specifically for your purchase.

Returns

Do you accept returns?

All sales are final.

We do not accept returns or exchanges once an order has shipped. Please review your order carefully before completing your purchase.

If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging so we can help resolve the issue.

Can I shop the bus without attending an event?

Yes! We occasionally offer shopping hours at our Lake Elsinore location. Follow our social media or check our Events page for upcoming dates.

Book Club

Do you have a book club?

Yes! We’d love to have you join us. Each month we choose a new book, host discussions, and offer exclusive discounts for participants.

Do book club books go on sale?

Yes! Each month we offer a special discount on that month’s book club pick, along with a separate discount code for the rest of the store.

Gift Cards

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes! Digital gift cards are available and make the perfect gift for the reader in your life.
